ABOUT NAFCON

Our Pastor

Larry McNutt

My wife Nancy and I want to thank you for taking the time to visit our church website. It is our desire that you would discover all the information you desire about New Albany First Church of the Nazarene (NAFCON).

We are a church that wants to more than anything else; share the message of Jesus Christ with a world that is desperate for hope! It is our strong belief that Jesus is that hope.

Our church is a place to meet new friends and endeavors to help every member of your family on their spiritual journey.

You will find that our worship services are both inspiring and challenging with encountering God and life transformation being the goal of every service!

It is our belief that God is always seeking to do something new and fresh in our lives! There are also plenty of opportunities to grow spiritually in a small group or a Sunday School class. NAFCON has something for every stage or age group in your family.

Please feel free to call or e-mail any of our church staff team to speak with us about our childcare, children, student and adult ministries. However, meeting the spiritual needs of your family is only a part of what we are all about. It is our vision to serve others both inside and outside of the church walls. We have ministry opportunities both home and abroad that will allow you to make a local and global difference in the lives of other people.

God bless and if you are looking for a church home please feel free to visit one of our services! It would be our privilege to help your family on their spiritual journey to know and love Jesus Christ!

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe…

…in one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

…that the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God wholly and divinely inspired by God, and that the Holy Bible contains all truth necessary for Faith and Christian living.

…humanity is born with a fallen nature and is therefore inclined to evil continually.

…that those who do not ask for forgiveness are hopelessly lost.

…that through the life of Jesus Christ forgiveness is available for all who will ask for forgiveness, and through forgiveness in Christ a person is given new life.

…those who receive forgiveness in Jesus are to grow and mature with the help of the Holy Spirit. Forgiveness is not the end of the Christian journey with God, but just the beginning of all that God desires for us to experience and enjoy.

…the Holy Spirit affirms in our hearts that Jesus forgives us and that a whole new life in Christ is available before us.

…Jesus will return again, and when Jesus comes again all will be held accountable for their life.
